The easiest and best Italian tomato sauce ever!
So simple and yet so good! This Italian tomato sauce never fails the expectations and has been a regular on our table for many years. It is very easy and quick to make and turns a simple meal into a real delight.

- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 pcs Onion
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 800 g Canned peeled tomatoes, whole or chopped
- 2 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 3-4 tbsp Basil, frozen or fresh
- Salt and Pepper
- Parmesan cheese
- 500 g Linguini
Chop the onion and fry it for 15 minutes at low/medium heat. Be careful so the onion does not turn brown.
After frying for 10 minutes add the garlic using a garlic press (or finely chopped)
Add the canned tomatoes, vinegar, sugar, basilic, salt and pepper
Simmer for approx 15 minutes while steering occasionally
While the sauce is simmering, boil the water and cook your linguini.
Serve the linguini with the sauce and top it with parmesan cheese, fresh basil and freshly ground pepper.
